Los Angeles, Nov 3 (IANS) Rapper-actor Nick Cannon has followed through on his promise to make wife Mariah Carey ditch her high heels during pregnancy and bought her 20 pairs of flat shoes.

Cannon has been unnerved about his wife’s addiction to heels ever since she has revealed her pregnancy, and wanted her to stick to flat shoes.

But upon realising that his wife hardly owned any, he went overboard and ended up purchasing 20 pairs of flats, admitted he was already worried about how she’d cope with pregnancy in her trademark stilettos, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Cannon announced on a radio show that he planned to buy some sensible shoes for Carey and that he headed out to the shops over the weekend to fulfill his vow.

Carey posted a picture on micro-blogging site of herself surrounded by shoe boxes and joked, “Nick just brought me home like 20 pairs of ‘flats’ on his eternal quest to convert me!”
