Mumbai, Feb 1 (IANS) Claiming to have broken all previous records, a one-camera, one-shot film of over two hours and shot by a budding director, “Six Hours With Terrorists” is all set to hit the screens next month.”Six Hours With Terrorists”, the one-shot movie of two hours and 17 minutes, has been directed by young filmmaker and theatre artist Karan Kashyap under the banner of Star Smile Productions. The makers are planning to send the entry to the Guinness Book of World Records and is expected to be released March end.

“It was not easy for me and my team to achieve this task,” Karan said the day after he finished shooting.

“I approached several producers and actors with my script and tried to convince them to make a movie, but in vain. Finally, Star Smile Productions liked my concept and the project took off,” he added.

Producer Arun Deodhar, who is excited about the concept, said it takes a great deal of hard work to make such a film.

“I am extremely overwhelmed by the outcome of the project and I must say that all the efforts put in by these young people have yielded fruits,” he said.

“We intend to promote out-of-the-box ideas like these through movies and motivate young talent of the country,” he added.

The film revolves around Rehman who is held hostage by three terrorists.

“We have used several references from the 26/11 terror attacks on Mumbai in terms of the costumes and how three terrorists had held hostage ‘Nariman House’ during the attacks,” Kashyap said.

“But other than that, we have humorous dialogues and acts between the terrorists and the hostage in the film,” he added.

A crew of more than 40 people, including six actors, was literally locked up in a bungalow on the outskirts of Mumbai and rehearsed their parts for 54 days before they took up the final dress rehearsal.

“It took skilled theatre actors like Avinash Bhargav, Laila Panda, Sunil Chauhan, Raja Chauhan, Shiv Gupta and Arshad Hussain Khan to play various parts in the film. They have all been students of National School Of Drama (NSD),” Kashyap said.

So far, there have been two such “one shot” movies - “Russian Arc”, the duration of which was one hour and 38 minutes, and “PVC 1″ which is 85-minute long.

Indian television show had also made a single shot episode of 111 minutes.
