Candace Bushnell signs a novel publishing deal with Harper Collins

Los Angeles, April 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Candace Bushnell and HarperCollins Publishers have reached a deal that would see the publishing house publish two novels of Candace.

HarperCollins announced the deal on Monday. The books would target younger readers. It was not clear if the two novels would any way be the continuation of her book “The Carrie Diaries.” Candace’s previous works have got her some praise.

The author’s book, The Carrie Diaries, was highly successful. The novel which follows the life of the character Carrie Bradshaw quickly rose to the top of the New York Times bestsellers list. She followed that novel up with the continuation “Summer in the City” which is expected to be released on the 26th of April. Among the chronicles that Carrie jotted was how she met and fell in love with her friends in New York. The friends were named Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Candace said that she believes that she has more novels for young adults. Some of her other works include “Lipstick Jungle”, “Trading Up” and “SATC.”

The announcement on Monday failed to make further details concerning publication of the two books.
