Cancer Victim Jennifer Griffin Appears At Cause Gala Event

Nov.17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The well known Fox news correspondent Jennifer Griffin who is suffering from breast cancer appeared at a fund raising event for the organization Cause last week in a bid to support wounded veterans. Griffin has been diagnosed with breast cancer which is in the third stage and since then the reporter has been away from public eye.
At the gala event, the much acclaimed correspondent talked at lengths about her present condition and how she is trying her level best to fight the deadly disease. The event that was organized at the Mellon Auditorium housed was attended by around 400 people which included eminent personalities as well as a large number of troops wounded in war. However, Griffin completely stole the show as she even joked about her illness saying that she had a tumor that was growing much faster than any Al-Qaeda cell in Somalia. The room full of people got the joke and laughed at her sense of humor.
The 40 year old reporter who despite her ailment managed to look extremely glamorous added that it was in the month of September that she realized that something wrong with her. Griffin was feeding her new born baby when she found a lump and later she came to know that she was suffering from the life threatening disease. Since then, the renowned correspondent has undergone successive chemotherapy sessions to counter the spread of the disease. In order to undergo treatment, Griffin has been away from her job and has been fighting with the disease since then.
