Cancer-stricken Jade Goody dons dream wedding gown
February 18th, 2009 - 11:57 am ICT by ANILondon, February 18 (AN): Cancer-battling Jade Goody burst into tears while being assisted to her feet in her dream wedding gown, saying she cannot wait to get married.
The Big Brother celebrity exchanged wedding rings with her jailbird beau Jack Tweed after doctors told her that she has around eight weeks to live.
The 27-year-old drew upon the support from her mother Jackiey while her sons Bobby, aged five, and Freddie, aged four, were in awe of their mum as she stood before the mirror, weeping.
This is my dream, and this is my dream dress. I am going to be the bride… I cant wait to get married, the Sun quoted Jade as saying.
Jade, who has been receiving treatment for cervical cancer at the Royal Marsden hospital, selected a cream and ivory silk mikado gown - a 3,500-pound-wedding gift from Harrods owner Mohamed Fayed.
Jade, who was reportedly bent on having a traditional wedding, is set to walk down the aisle at Down Hall country manor in Hatfield Heath, Essex on February 22 after refusing the hospital chapel as a venue. (ANI)
