March 25, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): During a press conference for the release of Avatar home video, James Cameron lashed out at Fox News’ Glenn Beck. Cameron lost his cool when asked about what he thought about Glenn beck and said, “Glenn Beck is a f***ing asshole. I’ve met him. He called me the anti-Christ, and not about Avatar. He hadn’t even seen Avatar yet. I don’t know if he has seen it”.

Beck, whose provocative views have afforded him media recognition and popularity, along with controversy and criticism responded in his Fox News show by saying that his “Antichrist” comment had been a joke. Cameron’s reference to Beck calling him the anti-Christ stems from Beck’s reaction to Cameron’s 2007 documentary film, The Lost Tomb of Jesus, in which Cameron discusses doubt regarding the resurrection of Jesus Christ .

Beck said: “This guy has carried around this joke for three long years. The guy’s making a billion dollars on a Smurf-murdering movie and he’s stewing about a joke nobody heard on a network that nobody watched.” But perhaps the most vicious attack came from Beck’s preamble, in which he identifies James Cameron as “director of Avatar, Titanic and Piranha 2: The Spawning.” Ouch.

After taking a moment to consider his previous statements, Cameron followed up, offering to debate and discuss issues with Beck: “I think, you know what, he may or may not be an asshole, but he certainly is dangerous, and I’d love to have a dialogue with him.”

Lot of people will wait to see this dialogue happening between both of them.
