August 17th, 2010 - 4:27 pm ICT by ANILondon, Aug 17 (ANI): American filmmaker James Cameron turned 56 while diving to the bottom of the world’s deepest lake in Russia.
The director of 2009 sci-fi hit ‘Avatar’ teamed up with the Fund for Protection of Lake Baikal to celebrate his birthday underwater.
Cameron, who is a deep-sea diving pioneer, spent more than three hours exploring underwater and took soil samples from the bottom of the lake as part of the organization’s ongoing conservation work.
“He is delighted. He would really like to continue research,” The Daily Star quoted Deputy head of the company Inna Krylova as saying. (ANI)
