“Cake Boss” Baker Sal Picinich Passes Away At 63

Sal PicinichFeb 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sal Picinich, the baker who became a household name for his TLC reality show “Cake Boss” breathed his last on Monday night. His family announced the news to the media. Sal Picinich’s grieving wife Lucille Picinich told a reputed media outlet that the cake shop baker was battling against cancer and finally he succumbed to the deadly disease on Monday. He was 63 year old.

On Monday night, TLC network owners paid a tribute to Sal Picinich, who worked in the Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken for about 45 years. TLC released an official statement stating that the network officials and all other members are saddened to hear about the unfortunate demise of Sal Picinich, who used to feature on “Cake Boss”. The TLC officials have also expressed their condolences Sal Picinich’s family on behalf of the network, Buddy Valastro and entire crew members of “Cake Boss”. A reputed media outlet reported that Sal Picinich left “Cake Boss” in the year 2009 when he was diagnosed with cancer.

Sal Picinich’s wife, Lucille told a reputed media outlet that her husband used to love “Cake Boss” from his heart. Lucille Picinich said that the only time Sal Picinich not used to visit the bakery was the time when he used to suffer from excruciating pain of cancer. She also added that Carlo’s bakery meant everything to her husband and he was completely dedicated to his work. Sal Picinich is survived by his wife, two children Salvatore Picinich and Danielle Picinich Reinoso, four siblings, two grandchildren and also the employees in the bakery. His funeral will be held in East Rutherford on Friday.
