March 18th, 2008 - 6:04 pm ICT by adminLondon, Mar 18 (ANI): An American cafe hosted an effort to get into the Guinness Book of Worlds Record by singing Danny Boy continuously for 50-hours.
AJ O’Neils Cafe in Fernadale, Michigan began the 50-hour marathon on Mar 15 and it was planned to run till the evening of St Patrick’s Day (Mar 17).
Owner AJ O’Neil revealed that he enjoyed the song even after 24 hours were over.
“We had six church choirs in a row. And when the children sing, it just makes you cry,” The Sun quoted O’Neil, as saying.
O’Neil revealed that he slept just 90 minutes since the marathon began.
At the marathon’s conclusion, a symbolic funeral was planned to honour the song’s sombre roots. (ANI)
