Aug 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Perhaps best known for his roles as the Ty D Bol man in television commercials, and as Dr. Beeper in the famous Chevy Chase comedy ‘Caddyshack’, actor Dan Resin died Saturday at the age of 79.

According to his daughter, Resin died in the Oakland Care Facility when he passed away from complications from Parkinson’s disease, the ‘Associated Press’ reports.

Along with being the Ty D Bol man in commercials to advertise the toilet cleaning solution, Resin also played the part of the snobby doctor known as Dr. Beeper in Caddyshack. His most famous still seems to be as the man in the captain’s uniform who sailed over toilet tanks and stated, “Helps clean and deodorize your bowl automatically every time you flush.”

Resin also starred in such Broadway shows as ‘My Fair Lady’ and ‘Don’t Drink The Water’ during his lifetime career. He began as an actor after moving to New York when he got out of the Army. He starred in literally hundred of commercials and dedicated his later years in life to raising money to aid in Parkinson’s awareness and research. In the video below, you can watch Resin’s Ty D Bol commercial.
