burn-stJuly 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Burt Reynolds of “Deliverance” fame shined in the cameo role of Paul Anderson in last night’s episode of “Burn Notice”. The episode was aired in USA Network at 9 p.m. and the audience watched the show with interest as they saw their favorite actors perform their best. “Burn Notice” is an American action drama series directed by Matt Nix and the story revolves around the lives of Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan), Fiona Glenanne (Gabrielle Anwar), Sam Axe (Bruce Campbell) and Madeline Western (Sharon Gless).

In this season Michael is re-recruited by the same organization that burned him before and now he is in a mission to track some terrorists working against United States. The story has its own twists and turns and yesterday with the presence of Burt Reynolds as the ‘ex-spy’ added extra zing to the episode. Burt Reynolds portrays the role of Michael’s client of the week and the actor shined in his small yet power-packed role. Paul Anderson (Burt Reynolds) gets into a trouble for the business he controlled in 1983 in the Kremlin. He retired from his job way back and presently he is more involved in recreational drinking. The ex-spy then takes Michael’s help to get him out of the trouble from the four nasty Russian guys.

It is the first work for Burt Reynolds after undergoing bypass surgery in February at a hospital in Jupiter and the actor did full justification of his role. The director of the show in one of his interviews said that Burt Reynolds can play his role convincingly and he did not “shy” away from any “physical” stunts he was asked to do. The show recorded a good number of viewers last night owing to its wonderful star-cast and interesting storyline.
