Burt Reynolds leaves rehab
September 17th, 2009 - 2:48 pm ICT by ANILondon, Sept 17 (ANI): Actor Burt Reynolds has returned to normal life, after completing the rehab session that he had joined for getting rid of painkiller addiction.
The 73-year-old star was struggling to lead a normal life without painkillers after a recent back operation.
The Daily Express quoted his manger Erik Kritzer as saying: “He realised that he was in the prison of prescription pain pills.”
The career of the Boogie Nights actor was left in shambles when he hurt his jaw in 1984 and couldn’t eat.
The injury and the consequent prescription drug abuse created rumours that Reynolds had AIDS.
However, he regained his health and later made a comeback to Hollywood.
Reynolds later won the best supporting actor Golden Globe for Boogie Nights. (ANI)
