August 31, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Sandra Bullock calls her seven month old son Louis, a ‘Cajun Cookie’ affectionately. She had adopted the baby boy from New Orleans. She also revealed that everything works out just fine ultimately; it is the way the universe wants it to be. This was her first interview since she split with her husband Jesse James earlier this year. The interview to the Today show will be aired on Tuesday.

She also attended the opening of a health clinic in New Orleans on Sunday. She had been a part of the fund raising for the $700,000 clinic which has been opened to observe the fifth year of Hurricane Katrina.

Bullock along with James had initiated the adoption process four years ago. She told the correspondent that it had been an overtly long process. However, she held her patience as she did not want to bend the rules on account of being a celebrity. So she stuck on and did everything like all the others opting for adoption.

She also said that she had a feeling that Louis had already been hers. She wasn’t the least bit scared of him going to someone else. But she adds that it is nice to be thought of as a person fit to be a parent.

She also disclosed that she had faith that she would get the right child in the end. It didn’t really matter where the child had come from, even medical issues were not important, she stressed. If the child needed her he or she would be placed, she felt.

However, she did not really think she would get a boy. She reveals that everyone is delighted about it and treats him exactly like a crown prince. There have been no boys in her family so far and the hierarchy has been broken finally.

Sandra had been keeping the news of her adoption under wraps and said that she could do it only with the help of her friends. She says that she has been blessed with both family members as well as close friends who have integrity.

So her little ‘cajun cookie’ can be assured of plenty of love even if she does not get to stay with him all the time.
