April 10, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Actor Nicholas Brendon, well known for his character, Xander Harris, in the television series “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, has been charged in a police attack. He was charged with one count of resisting arrest, two counts of battery against a police officer and one count of vandalism.

Brendon was detained by the police personnel in Los Angeles where he was found generating a hullabaloo after getting badly intoxicated. When the police personnel came near him, he is reported to have swung at them and endeavored to run. The police finally achieved control of the situation. He was taken to the sickbay and then booked for felony of vandalism.

Brendon is being prosecuted in a California court on four misdemeanors. He could be facing a two-year prison term and a $4,000 fine if condemned by the judiciary.

This isn’t the first alcohol-related dilemma that Brendon has had. He enunciated in 2004 that he had willingly joined rehab in Los Angeles to deal with his alcoholism.

Since the conclusion of Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 2003, Brendon has guest starred in numerous TV shows. He, at present, has a persistent role as a computer technician on ‘Criminal Minds’.

He also had a role in the less appreciated TV flick, ‘Celeste in the City’. He was witnessed on the transitory show, ‘Kitchen Confidential’. He has also got two projects purportedly set for release this year, ‘The Portal’ and ‘Sweet Lorriane.’
