Los Angeles, Sep 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Bruce Springsteen is going to turn 60 on Wednesday and he is still rocking the stage with his power packed performances.
Springsteen fans have only one wish for the rock star’s 60th birthday, which is that the magic does not yet end. Touted as the next Bob Dylan, Springsteen has lived up to the expectations of his fans and his recent performance on Sunday night at the United Center, Chicago, with his E Street Band, is enough proof of his undying energy.
The E Street Band’s performance on Sunday in Chicago is said to be the second live performance of the band’s 1975 classic album, “Born to Run”. The album was first performed live in 2008 at the quaint Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey. As expected, not a single seat at the Unite center was unoccupied. Bruce took to the stage and explained in the very beginning that “Born to Run” was the “make-or-break record” not only for him but also for his band. And after this little monologue, Springsteen rocked Chicago with songs like “Thunder Road” from one of the best-selling classic rock album of all times.
At 60, Springsteen isn’t willing to slow down and neither does his fans want him to slow down. He has got concerts lined up for September 30, October 2, 3, 8 and 9, with his E Street Band at the Giants Stadium, New Jersey. The current tour that Springsteen is going through is his fourth tour with his band. He has also toured alone and given solo performances for his ‘Devils and Dust’ album. He is booked for a concert on November 20th at 1st Mariner Arena, Baltimore.
Long live Springsteen and happy 60th birthday!
