Neptune, Mar 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Bruce Springsteen has thanked the Asbury Park Press for publishing an article on the challenges that faces anti-poverty groups in the wake of the proposed government tax cuts in New Jersey.

The letter which was sent on Thursday thanked the editorial and the entire newspaper for highlighting the problems that the cuts introduced by Governor Chris Christie in New Jersey would have on the average people living in the state. Springsteen preferred to call the Asbury Park Press his hometown newspaper.

In response to the article which was published in the 27th of March 2011 edition of the newspaper, Springsteen’s letter said that the “article shows that the cuts are eating away at the lower edges of the middle class, not just those already classified as in poverty.”

Springsteen predicts that the cuts would likely make things worse for the state for a long time to come.

The United States is going through what could be described as the most critical period in its history. Unprecedented cuts threaten to radically change the way of life of American citizens. The cuts have become necessary because of the mounting US debt.
