Bruce Lee’s siblings planning biopic on him
July 22nd, 2009 - 4:35 pm ICT by ANIWashington, July 22 (ANI): A biopic on late martial-arts legend Bruce Lee is being planned by his brother and sister and Chinese officials.
According to Chinese website Zhejiang, Bruce’s brother Robert Lee will produce the biopic, and his sister Phoebe Lee “will also help”, reports Contactmusic.
Last year, a 40-part TV series about Lee had been aired in China, but it is only now that Lee’s family has approved a film or TV project on him.
The actor had died 36 years ago at age 32 from an allergic reaction to the pain-killing drug Equagesic that caused swelling of the brain.
Filmmakers have said that “the movie will have three episodes”, but it’s not clear if they would be part of one film or whether three separate movies about Lee would be produced. (ANI)
