Bruce Beresford-Redman arrested on suspicion of murdering his wife
November 17th, 2010 - 11:45 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattCancun, Nov 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Bruce Beresford-Redman who produces hit shows Survivor and ‘Pimp My Ride’ has been arrested and detained by Mexican law enforcement officers after he was suspected of being involved in the death of his wife who has been tagged as missing in the country.
Police came across the corpse of the victim - Monica Beresford-Redman on April 8, 2010 in one of the sewers of the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, the family’s holiday destination according to Bello Rodriguez who represents the Quintana Roo state, which is in the same jurisdiction as Cancun.
The exact cause of death of the victim is not known but her husband Bruce has been placed in detention until further developments. According to official police investigations, Monica Beresford-Redman went out of the hotel the day before her death and never came back. One of the hotel’s security staff saw the couple in a heated exchange on Monday and Bruce Beresford-Redman allegedly tried to assault his wife physically according to reports in the Associated Press citing Rodriquez.
The Survivor producer came back to the US after the incident even though his passport had been seized by Mexican authorities and he got apprehended by US Marshals at his home without any struggles according to reports.
