Washington, Nov.25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The First state dinner hosted by US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama has been one of the mostly discussed news of recent days. Politicians, influential businessmen, media personalities as well several eminent personalities from different parts of the world were invited to the first state dinner of the country. Katie Couric was among the media personalities who were invited to the grand ceremony yesterday. The renowned CBS anchor was accompanied by her boyfriend Brooks Perlin, in the event.

The news of the Katie Couric and Brooks Perlin romantic relation had surfaced earlier yet they did not made much public appearances together. Sources stated that this was the biggest public appearance that Ms. Couric has made with her boyfriend. Katie Couric’s photograph with her beau Brooks Perlin has surprised many people who did not have any idea of their existing relation. Though Katie Couric and Brooks Perlin’s appearance created a big stir among people, there were several other interesting facts in the ceremony.

Many people considered the dinner party thrown by President Obama to be the first grand ceremony of the country after he came to the office on January 20. It was indeed a lavish occasion and was graced by several high profile personalities.Performances of Oscar winning music artists, Jenifer Hudson and A.R. Rahman to brighten up the occasion. On the first state dinner of the country, the glittering dress of First Lady Michelle Obama designed by Naeem Khan also attracted the attention of people. The strapless gown once more reflected the fashion sense of the First Lady.
