Nashville, Tenn., Nov. 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Brooks and Dunn break up was referred to by Lady Antebellum as the group went to receive their award for two categories, one for the vocal group and the other in the single of the year category. As the three singers went on stage to receive their awards and deliver the acceptance speech, they invited Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn to came on stage and say something to their fans who have not seen them perform together for quite some time now. Both of the singers turned down the offer.

The country music duo had announced their decision to split on August, a move that surprised many in the industry. They insisted that the split was not due to some discord between themselves and that it is a premeditated affair. They said that after being on the country music circuit for twenty years as a duo, they have realized that the time has come to call their partnership a day. However, they promised that their fans would have a last chance to be enthralled in the magic of their dual performance in 2010, entitled the “Rodeo Tour”.

Brooks and Dunn had broken into the country music scene with their debut album “Brand New Man”. The album practically raced to the top of the billboards and that was only the beginning of the most entertaining duo of country music for the next twenty years. They were literally the uncrowned kings of line dancing. There can be no doubt that their power packed performances will be missed, an emotion that was echoed in the laments of Lady Antebellum as they rued the decision of the duo.
