New York, Nov 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Heath Ledger was known as one of the powerhouse performers of Hollywood who succumbed to death at the shockingly young age of 28. He died in 2008 after a prescription drug overdose. According to the latest news, the apartment of the hunky actor in New York is up for sale. The price of the apartment where he lived has shot up much higher. The apartment is in downtown Manhattan and was rented by the much-acclaimed actor at $25000 a month at the time of his unexpected demise. A media entity said that the house is likely to be sold for an amount of $5 million. The news has made waves among the fans of the later actor.
The reports also suggest that the property which was rented by the late ‘Dark Knight’ actor was sold by means of a foreclosure auction last year. The house remained empty from the time the actor passed away. The existing owners of the house are going to renovate it so that its sales prospects go up. At the time of his shocking death, the actor was bringing up his daughter Matilda single handedly. The apartment where he stayed was a huge one and the overall area is 4400 sq ft. The owners are reportedly gutting it down for a total makeover.
Heath Ledger shot to fame after acting in the Academy award winner Ang Lee film ‘Brokeback Mountain’ where he played the role of a gay cowboy. He also won accolades for his superb portrayal of Joker in the Christopher Nolan directed ‘The Dark Knight’.
