Aug 24 (IBNS) Hills actor Brody Jenner has experienced his birthday as something he did not have imagined, blame the less-tastier hospital fare. Cakes and ice cream would have been an obvious choice.

Brody Jenner unfortunately spent the morning of his 26th birthday having his appendix removed, his rep has informed.

The rep added: The son of Olympian athlete Bruce Jenner and songwriter Linda Thompson is doing well post-surgery. He is resting with family and friends and expected to have a speedy recovery.

“Spending my bday in the hospital… this sucks,” he Tweeted.

Sam Brody Jenner (born August 21, 1983) is an American television personality and fashion model. Jenner is the son of Olympic decathlon champion Bruce Jenner and actress Linda Thompson.

Jenner dated actress and fellow reality TV personality Kristin Cavallari of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, for one year. Though sources differ, the couple reportedly began dating in September 2005 and broke up in August 2006.

Weeks after his break-up with Cavallari in August 2006, he began dating Nicole Richie. By early October, representatives announced the pair had split.

Jenner moved on to date another former Laguna Beach personality, Lauren Conrad. Jenner appeared on the show with former friend Spencer Pratt. Rumors surfaced that both Jenner and Pratt went on the show to become famous.
