LOS ANGELES (BNO NEWS) — Singer-actress Britney Spears will be appearing on the hit TV show Glee, the creator of the TV show, Ryan Murphy, said during a radio show interview on Tuesday.

“I will give you a little scoop,” Murphy told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show on KIIS FM, “which is that Britney will 100% be on the episode, which is exciting. She’s going to come and join us and do a couple scenes.”

Spears’ music was already set to be featured for one of the episodes of Glee’s second season, but with the announcement, her guest appearance will probably be boosting the TV show’s ratings.

“We are doing a Britney episode and people do have certain expectations because the show is sarcastic. But the Britney episode is so reverential about her, and it’s so kind and it’s about her music. It’s not about her personal life, and I think Britney Spears is essential to pop culture, and I want to say thank you for what you’ve done, and we’re encouraging you to continue to be doing as fantastic as you do. So that’s not true. We’re handling Britney with kid gloves,” Murphy added.

“I really admire what she’s done with her life and how she’s turned herself around.”

During the radio show, Murphy also said performances of Spears’ songs will occur while cast members are under anesthesia at the dentist. “They have fantasies of how they can be like her,” he said.
