Dec. 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pictures from a movie that show the actress Brittany Murphy lifeless in a bathtub has been taken down. It been decided that the same image, that adorns the covers of the DVDs, will also be taken off. The measure comes after the untimely death of the actress on Sunday, by cardiac arrest. She had apparently fallen unconscious in her bathroom, and had been rushed to the hospital, where the paramedics tried to revive her without success.

The posters are from the movie “Deadline”, which the actress had finished shooting just some days prior to her death. In the picture, which is a still shot for promotional purposes, shows the actress posing in a bathtub, half dressed and apparently dead. The measure has been taken by a DVD rental company. The company has around 1,90,00 kiosks displaying the posters in the United States. It has announced that it would take them around seven to ten days to pull down all the posters. The authorities have also commented that they plan to complete the removal by the end of this year.

The company, Redbox, has not announced why it has taken the decision of pulling down the posters. However, it is being speculated that the measure might have been taken so as not to hurt any sentiments, so soon after the death of the actress. Also, since people are looking for the post death pictures of Brittany Murphy, it is probably being supposed that the movie stills might be taken to be one such picture, particularly considering that they have come out so soon after the death of the actress.
