Dec.21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In Nov, 1977, Brittany Murphy was born to Sharon and Angelo Bertolotti, who shortly after, got divorced. Brittany Murphy then went on to stay with her mother, who according to her ‘never stifled her creativity and supported her’. Hollywood looked her way at the age of 14, in 1991, when she was selected for her first ever role to play Brenda Drexell in Drexell’s Class. Shortly after, she went on to do Almost Home and even made TV appearances (Blossom, Frasier). Her teenage years even saw some of her greatest performance in the role of the naive high-school girl in ‘Clueless’.

At the age of 20, she gave her voice for the first time to Luanna Platter, a character on King of the Hill. The 2000’s was a new period for the star, when movies such as 8 Mile, Uptown Girls, Don’t say A Word and Sin City came her way. 2006, also saw the star’s new avatar as a singer when she released her single named ‘Faster Kill Pussycat’ with Paul Oakenfold. The single, which featured in the album- A lively Mind, went on to become a hit, and was a regular to be played in clubs and pubs and even listed 7 on UK charts. Same year, she was listed at #49 in Maxim’s hot list. Not just her career, but the 2000’s was a roller-coaster ride for her personal life too. She had two broken engagements and a very publicized affair before she settled down. Four years ago, Jordache jeans, even signed her up as their model.
