Dec.26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) As Brittany Murphy was laid to rest on Thursday amidst her friends and family, the cause of her death has become the subject of widespread speculations. Although, the exact reason which led to the untimely death of the actress is still unknown, sources close to the family have revealed that the ‘Clueless’ star suffered symptoms similar to flu during the days prior to her demise.

Although, possibility of any kind of foul play has been ruled out by the authorities, it has been revealed that the toxicology report would shed some light on the reason behind the unexpected death of the 32 year old actress. Meanwhile, large number of prescription drugs were derived from her Hollywood home that fueled the rumors that the actress might have been a victim of drug overdose. However, her husband, Simon Monjack, has brushed away the rumors and has emphasized that his wife was not administered any drugs that might have been harmful for her.

However, following Brittany Murphy’s death, her family had mentioned that the actress was taking medicines for the flu-like symptoms that she was experiencing for a few days. At the same time, it has also been revealed that the actress had been fighting diabetes for quite some time.

The much acclaimed actress passed away on early Sunday morning after collapsing at her Hollywood home. She was later rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was declared dead. Although, the cause of her death was said to be a cardiac arrest, the actual reason is yet to be validated.
