New Delhi, Nov 21 (ANI): Adnan Ghalib, ex-boyfriend of pop star Britney Spears, has received a 45-day sentence in prison for leaving the scene of an accident earlier this year.
Jane Robison, a spokeswoman for Los Angeles District Attorney, said Ghalib was taken into custody immediately after being sentenced Friday, reports The China Daily.
Robison added that Ghalib was also ordered to serve three years of formal probation and perform 45 days of roadside cleanup duty.
The punishment resulted from an incident on February 11, when Ghalib tried to escape a process server attempting to issue a restraining order obtained by Spears’s dad against him.
He pleaded no contest last month to leaving the scene of the accident.
Spears, now 27, began a relationship with Ghalib in December 2007 when her private and public life were falling apart following her divorce, stints in rehab and a notorious head shaving incident. (ANI)
