Britney Spears wont be charged over stand-off with policeJanuary 5th, 2008 - 4:50 pm ICT by admin
Washington, Jan 5 (ANI): Britney Spears will not be charged over the Jan 3 stand-off with police at her Beverly Hills home, which eventually landed her in hospital.
The Los Angeles Police Department officials were called to Spears residence after she refused to relinquish her youngest son, Jayden James, for transportation back to the custody of his father, Kevin Federline.
After a police intervention, the frantic singer was strapped to a gurney and taken by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she will be held for 72 hours to for mental evaluation.
However, police will not be charging Spears over the incident, which they are treating as a domestic dispute.
“We do not have plans to charge her. There was nothing criminal here and as far as the LAPD is concerned the case was closed last night as soon as the children were handed over to their father, Contactmusic quoted a police spokesman, as saying.
Following the singers hysterical antics, a Los Angeles judge has awarded the “sole legal custody and sole physical custody” of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, to Spears Federline, until another hearing on January 14. (ANI)
