Britney Spears To Have A ‘Glee’ Episode Dedicated To Her

brit July 12, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Pop singer Britney Spears is following in the lines of Lady Gaga and Madonna. Like these two pop singers, Britney is also going to have an episode of the renowned Television show Glee dedicated to her.

Ryan Murphy, the creator of Glee informed about the plan of Britney’s episode on the entertainment news show ‘Entertainment Tonight’. The next series of the musical comedy is planning to have the episode dedicated to Britney.

However, Ryan could assure if Britney would appear on the show herself because Madonna and Lady Gaga did not appear during the shows dedicated to them. Ryan along with his writers is writing an episode, which will feature the songs from the pop singer’s catalogue.

The 28 year old Spears got a whopping 19 Emmy nominations for her second studio album ‘Oops! I Did It Again’. Jive Records released the album on May 16, 2000 and took the top spot in the US following the sale of over 1,319,193 units in the first week.

Glee is a TV series, which is aired on Fox channel in the United States. It is based on a high school show choir named ‘New Directions’ at a fictional High School named William McKinley in Ohio.

On May 19, 2009, the pilot episode of the show ‘Glee’ was aired. The airing of the first season started on September 9, 2009.

The second season of Glee will premiere next fall on Fox. This is definitely good news for the Glee fans and the fans of the pop singer Britney Spears.
