October 4, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): If there ever was an award for being a bad employer, Britney Spears would get nominated every year. Recently the pop-star got sued by her former bodyguard on charges of sexual harassment. Within days of that storm dying down, Britney Spears got sued by her children’s nanny over unpaid wages.

Ferial Zaltash recently filed a lawsuit against pop-queen Britney for refusing to pay her wages on time. In the lawsuit Ferial said that Spears hired her on September 2007 as a nanny to her children Sean Preston and Jayden James. Ferial was also enquired to act as the personal assistant to the pop-star during the tenure of her employment. However, when Ferial quit working for Spears a month later in October 2007, Spears refused to pay her wages.

The four-page legal document said that the Spears owed $35,202 to the Plaintiff as unpaid wages for services rendered. The nanny also demanded $19,940 from Spears for penalties that included overtimes. The lawsuit also claimed that Britney refused to dole out the wages when Ferial requested her to clear them.

This is not the first time Britney is getting sued by an employee. Just a few weeks back Britney’s former bodyguard Fernando Flores sued Britney for sexually harassing him by roaming around naked in front of him and hitting on him during work hours. The former bodyguard also alleged that Britney used to beat up her kids mercilessly, but somehow the lawsuit did not stick. We hope both the parties can reach an out-of-the-court settlement this time.
