May 5, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): A demo of Lady Gaga’s hit single, ‘Telephone’, which was recorded by Britney Spears, has been leaked on the web. Rodney Jerkins, producer of the song, corroborated that the extensively disseminated leak is Britney Spears’ rough demo that later became Lady Gaga and Beyoncé’s hit single.

Jerkins explicated that he has no notion about who leaked the demo. He divulged that he would never leak something without Spears’ or her manager Larry Rudolph’s endorsement.

The tune that first came into view publicly on Gaga’s current album, The Fame Monster, was, in the beginning, inscribed for Spears.

Validity of the demo is yet to be verified by either Spears or Gaga. However, some reports have uttered that Gaga did, at first, co-write the song for Britney, who discarded it.

The demo has generated conjecture among the fans and the organizers of one fans’ site even twittered that the voice is not of Spears.

Since its release, ‘Telephone’ has been positioned on top of the charts of radio around the world, as well as Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40 and Hot Dance Club charts.
