London, Oct 10 (IANS) Pop star Britney Spears has opened up about her public breakdown for the first time in a documentary and she admits having made “huge mistakes”.The singer, who is on the road to recovery ahead of the release of her comeback album “Circus”, was in the news due to her erratic behaviour last year that sparked fears her pop career would come to a premature end, reports thesun.co.uk.
In her upcoming MTV documentary “For The Record”, she admits she made huge mistakes and is grateful she was given a chance of a comeback.
“I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn’t being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in.This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I’ve been through and where I’m headed,” she said.
“So much has gone on over the last couple of years and there’s a lot that people don’t know about me that I want them to know. I’ve been through a lot, and there’s a lot people don’t know. I sit there and I look back. I’m a smart person, what the hell was I thinking?” Britney added.
During the traumatic year, she divorced husband Kevin Federline and was also locked in a custody battle for their kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
