Melbourne, November 8 (ANI): Britney Spears was reportedly holed up in a hotel in Australia after she left fans fuming with a lip-synching performance.
The pop princess recently arrived in the country for 15 sold-out shows across the continent as part of her Circus tour.
According to the Daily Telegraph, she was slammed for miming onstage, giving preference to theatrics and dancing during the live performance at Perth’s Burswood Dome on November 6, reports News.com.au.
Disappointed devotees, some of whom splashed up to 200 dollars to see the star, were said to have walked out after just three songs.
Some further complained about their dissatisfaction over the giant screens that apparently showed almost no vision of the 27-year-old singer.
Britney was also alleged to have had her back to the audience for most of the show.
A Burswood spokesman, however, said a record concert crowd had turned up and made the event a huge success.
A statement said no complaints had been received from fans. (ANI)
