Britney fears social workers may be risk to her familys securityDecember 5th, 2007 - 6:36 pm ICT by admin
New York , Dec 5 (ANI): Pop star Britney Spears, wants to keep off the L.A. social workers from accessing to secret court documents as she considers that their prodding is a risk to her familys security, according to recently released documents.
In the thick of 300 heavily redacted pages released by L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, Spears herself told the judge that county Department of Children and Family Services investigators shouldn’t have access to secret court documents.
DCFS is asking for more court papers about Spears’ child-custody dealings with ex-hubby Kevin Federline, to investigate that the controversial pop star could be a dangerous parent to their two young sons.
“When I travel with Preston and Jayden. I also try to keep the children’s travel and transportation plans as confidential as possible in order to minimize the chances that unscrupulous journalists will gain unwelcome access to me and the boys,” The New York Post quoted Spears, as saying in an October filing.
“Such information greatly increases the chances that the actions of the media could threaten the safety of the children by, for example, causing a traffic accident or by exposing them to criminals who might target them for financial gain, she added.
A DCFS lawyer said that the agency is authorised to investigate tips about Spears’ alleged bad parenting.
“Based upon its investigation to date, it should be noted that DCFS has concerns of its own regarding the safety and welfare of the children if the children are left in the mother’s care,” senior deputy counsel Douglas Hunter wrote in response to Spears in late October.
However, hubby Federline now has primary custody of the kids, while Spears gets supervised visits each week.
The released documents however do not reveal what action - if any - he took on the DCFS request for more information. (ANI)
