British princes’ friend sues News of the World
July 14th, 2011 - 8:07 pm ICT by IANSLondon, July 14 (IANS) A close friend of British princes, William and Harry, has filed a case against the News of the World for claiming that Harry took drugs at his father’s house and got drunk, a media report said.
Guy Pelly, a nightclub owner in Chelsea, launched legal action against the newspaper Monday, a day after the tabloid published its last edition, the Daily Express reported.
The tabloid claimed Harry took drugs at Prince Charles’ home, Highgrove, and also got heavily drunk.
Pelly was accused in 2002 of supplying drugs to Harry when the prince was 17.
Pelly - then a 19-year-old agricultural student - denied the allegation.
