Brit newspapers cite proof that Van Morrison has ‘love child’ with mistress
April 18th, 2011 - 7:05 pm ICT by ANILondon, Apr 18 (ANI): Two British newspapers claim they have uncovered evidence that singer Van Morrison fathered a child out of marriage with one of his US tour supporters.
Morrison flatly denied a relationship with Texas motherGiGi Lee when his own website, which his representatives claimed had been hacked into, published an announcement on Dec. 29, 2009, of the birth of “little Van.”
He then took two British newspapers to court and won an injunction against them for publishing any evidence that he was the tot’s father.
But when that injunction was overturned last week, the Daily Mail and the News of the World unleashed what they claim is evidence that Morrison fathered the child, reports the New York Daily News.
The Mail maintained it was Lee, not hackers, who composed and posted the announcement on the website and then allegedly tried to convince Morrison’s team that they were a real couple.
“He should have not lied like that so he is just going to have to ride it out,” she wrote in an email, according to the newspaper.
Morrison, best known for his hits including ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ and ‘Moondance’, has been married to his wife, Michelle, for more than 15 years. (ANI)
