Bristol Palin to Debut On ‘Secret Life’ TV Show

Feb 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Bristol Palin, daughter of the former governor of Alaska/ former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, is all set to appear in an episode of ABC Family’s hot teenage television show, “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”. Bristol will be playing as herself, but pretend to be friends with Amy. Bristol’s part is that of a teen mom who is struggling with the balance of motherhood and high school, after a one night stand with a fellow student. The episode will be shot in Los Angeles.
Although Bristol says she is “thrilled to be on the show,” it could be a challenge for her mom, who has stood out many times against “the Hollywood types” who, in her opinion, use teenage pregnancy, and other controversial subjects to make money. Bristol has been speaking out against teen pregnancy quite a lot since giving birth to her son, Tripp in December of 2008. Her pregnancy caused quite a stir during her mother’s vice presidency campaign.
“Having a baby is a huge responsibility and I think that teenagers should just wait to have sex,” she told a panel in New York last year as the abstinence ambassador for The Candie’s Foundation.
