Brian Stokes Mitchell To Perform At Kennedy Funeral

brianstokesmitchellLate Senator Edward.M.Kennedy, who died on August 25th will have Tony Award winner Brian Stokes Mitchell performing at his funeral on Saturday. Mitchell will sing “The Impossible Dream”from”Man Of La Mancha” at Basilica of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help in Boston, where the ceremony is to be held.He is known for his songs “Kiss Me Kate”, and “Ragtime”.

The Broadway star has carved out a somber-righteous image having been associated with charitable organizations such as March Of Dimes and the USO.In December last year he made an enigmatic guest appearance and performed as a musical artist at “Christmas with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir And Orchestra at Temple Square.”

He will be holding a concert at Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center on Saturday, 8pm , on September 5th. His earliest Broadway work is Mail (1988). He also gained fame for voicing the character Jethro in ‘The Prince Of Egypt’ (1998). He is President of The Actor’s Fund, and is also married to actress Allyson Tucker since the year 1994.

There was a private memorial service for Kennedy, that took place at the JFK Library and Museum in Boston Massachusetts, on Friday.

For the second inauguration of George.W.Bush, in 2005, Susan had given a brilliant performance. The messo-soprano Susan Graham who has sung for the Republics will now be seen singing for the Democrats as well at the funeral. She will sing Schubert’s “Ave Maria”, said her publicist. Placido Domingo and Yo-Yo Ma are among other noteworthy performers at the funeral. In the beginning of the week the two were even seen at the Bowl, in a L.A. Philharmonic concert.
