The new track was a ballad, and the soulful lyrics depict the recent health issues of the singer. “Lately I just ain’t been myself,” the song begins with these words, which depict the agonizing time that the singer has recently spent in the hospital. “Lately, I’ve been feeling something else.” And the lyrics take a personal note when the singer says that, “There’s a time to hurt, a time to heal.”
