Jan 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Looking away from the various hook-ups, the engagements and the pregnancy news of the celebrities, there are some more celebs on the chart for whom the year has not started on a good note. The latest celebrity to join the bandwagon of celebs getting divorced is none other than “Desperate Housewives” star Brenda Strong. The marital life of this television star is said to be on the rocks. The actress has filed a divorce against her husband, Tom Henri, a yoga instructor.

It seems as if the this year’s celebrity divorce list is also getting filled up quite quickly, as an increasing number of celebrity couples decide to part ways with their partners. This “Desperate Housewives” actress has finally taken the legal action to end her marriage with her husband of 21 years. The 50-year-old actress who plays the role of a deceased narrator Mary Alice Young on the show aired on ABC, has cited some “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind her split with husband Tom Henri. The actress is reported to be seeking joint physical as well as the legal custody of the couple’s teenage son, John. She said to a leading news channel that with great difficulty, they had decided to file papers for the dissolution of their marriage. She also said that she and her husband are very grateful for the years they have shared together and their beautiful son.

Brenda Strong said in a statement that she hopes that the media would respect their privacy during this period. She tied the knot with Tom Henri in 1989.
