Sep 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rihanna’s name is right in the middle of a huge lawsuit filed by Brazilian promoters who say that they have been conned out of thousands of dollars after they booked the star for a number of concerts which never took place.
Officials for ‘Unique Sports and Marketing’ say that they signed a contract for 1.7 million dollars in an agreement with another company called ‘Vegas Style Entertainment’ to book three gigs with Rihanna in November.
Unique gave $825,000 as an initial fee to secure the singer of ‘Umbrella’ for those concerts. There was one major problem which Vegas Style Entertainment forgot to mention. They had never represented Rihanna, and had no connection at all to the star.
So on Thursday, Unique filed a lawsuit for $4,68,000 in damages, according to TMZ.
