Aug 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American R&B singer-songwriter Brandy is facing a brand new legal issue after a DJ has filed a lawsuit against the musical artist claiming that the singer pulled out of a contract to write and record songs for from him after taking the signing amount. The lawsuit was filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday by Marc Mysterio claiming breach of contract.
According to the lawsuit, the 31-year-old musical artist took a check of $10,000 after agreeing to the deal back in the month of July but never delivered the music as per the terms of the contract. At the same time, the DJ also goes on to say that owing to the unprofessional behavior of Brandy, he had to suffer huge losses to the tune of $25,000. It has also come to light that through the lawsuit, Marc Mysterio is seeking a whopping $6 million as the damages. In the meanwhile, the attorney of the DJ Laurence Clarke has emphasized to the media sources that he is extremely confident that his client would be able to win the case while pointing out that a contract had been signed with Brandy in which the terms and conditions were very clear.
Marc Mysterio has told the media that at present the music scenario is at a revolutionary stage when the DJ culture and the House music are blending into the mainstream. The DJ further went on to say that it is indeed depressing that Brandy does not wish to be associated with it. However, the “The Boy Is Mine’ singer has not been available for any comments in this regard as yet.
