Brad Pitt to star in a zombies movie
April 28th, 2011 - 9:07 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, April 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Brad Pitt’s next movie role is going to be that of a zombie fighter in the movie “World War Z.” The movie is based on Max Brooks’ book with the same title. The production of the movie has not started.
The right to the book was a battle between the companies of Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio. Pitt’s company, Plan B Entertainment, managed to secure the deal in 2007 by edging out DiCaprio’s Appian Way. Paramount is going to bring the movie out and in an interview with MTV last year Brooks said the studio’s deal has been very good for him.
He said that, “I can’t believe how cool Paramount has been to me and these projects, and how cool Plan B has been.”
In the same interview Brooks said Paramount confirmed that Pitt will be playing the lead character in a letter sent to him. The book was written in 2006 and it is about zombie war. Mireille Enos will be playing the role of Pitt’s wife in the movie.
Paramount has pushed the release of the movie back to the summer of 2014 after initially planning for a 2012 release.
