Brad Pitt for Mayor?
August 14th, 2009 - 4:43 pm ICT by Sampurn Wire ( Leave a comment )
The Hollywood actor is being repeatedly asked by residents of the city to run for public office. This request is after he helped to rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward area after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. His “Make It Right’ Foundation is providing reasonable housing for families displaced during the hurricane.
Followers are distributing T-shirts bearing the actor’s image, alongside the slogan “Brad Pitt for Mayor’. But the actor insists he’s not mayor material, simply because his policies would be too controversial, some of them being that of gay marriages, no religion, legalization and taxation of marijuana platform. He believes he would have no chance if he ran for the office of mayor on these policies, and that it’s not what he does best.
