London, June 11 (IANS) Brad Pitt and his real life partner Angelina Jolie may reunite, after five years, as a screen couple for a new film “Cleopatra: A Life”, based on Stacey Schiff’s book.
Schiff has indicated she would love to see the couple in the leading roles. Jolie is the top choice to play legendary Egyptian Queen Cleopatra and Pitt as her lover Mark Anthony, reports contactmusic.com.
“For Marc Anthony - Brad Pitt. (And) I think Angelina would be perfect for it and I can see a possible Oscar in her future,” said Stacey.
The author thinks that the couple have similar chemistry to Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, who met and fell in love when they were filming 1963 movie “Cleopatra”, playing the historical figures.
“They are the Burton-Taylor of our day, reconciling and breaking up within a day in the tabloids,” she added.
The movie will be directed by Steven Soderbergh.
Brad and Jolie were last seen on screen in 2005 action-comedy movie “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”.
