Boyband JLS keen to perform at London Olympics
June 20th, 2011 - 8:33 am ICT by IANSLondon, June 20 (IANS) JB Gill, member of British boyband JLS, says it would be a dream come true for them to perform at the 2012 London Olympics because they love sport and are very proud of being British.
The band, which comprises Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Oritse Williams and JB Gill, are best known for their two singles “Beat Again” and “Everybody in Love”.
“We love our sport and playing there is the top of the agenda for next year. We haven’t been approached yet but I think once the organisers get through this year, they’ll start doing organisation for the actual thing,” contactmusic.com quoted JB Gill as saying.
“I’m saying like I’m on the committee - I’m not! But we’d love to be involved in it. Obviously that and with the royal wedding just gone, it’s a great sense of Britishness,” he added.
