October 28, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Boy George has been the favorite child of controversy; his attitude has always kept him leaping from one controversy to the other. Recently Boy George threw a tantrum at a charity event that left the revelers shaken and stirred to say the least. The former Culture Club Singer got furious when he saw a woman chatting during his performance. The singer tipped a drink over the woman and asked her to shut up, which left her in tears. The audience promptly boycotted the event after Boy George’s outburst.

The gig was arranged to aid The Meningitis Trust and the audience who turned up for the show had paid large sums of money to hear the singer perform. The event took place at the Embassy club in London’s swanky Mayfair district. One of the members of the audience said that Boy George was not playing his hit songs and the audience was slowly losing interest. Everyone who came to the event unanimously agreed that it was a shocking lapse of judgment from Boy George. The singer’s aberrant behavior was caught on the camera and now it has been circulated all over the World Wide Web.

This is not the first time that Boy George has been involved in a controversy over his mercurial temper and heroin addiction. He recently confessed that he used to take the drug before performing in his concerts. On December 2008 George was convicted for assaulting and falsely imprisoning Audun Carlsen and he had to spend 15 months in prison for his offence. Boy George really needs to clean up his act before the audience can forgive him.
