Bonnie Raitt to release new album

Los Angeles, Jan 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After a seven-year hiatus, singer Bonnie Raitt is finally making the comeback. Her first album after the hiatus is planned to be released in April, according to a statement from the camp of the singer.

The new album which is titled Slipstream will be released on the Rock and Roll singer’s own record label Redwing. The singer has been out of the spotlight ever since her parents passed away. She went through a difficult moment when her brother and a best friend passed away as well. She stepped out of the public spotlight because she said she needed to take some time out and sort out things in her personal life. She has now decided to come back and re-launch her career.

Raitt also plans to embark tours and hold concerts to promote the new album. She is coming at a time when the younger generation is showing real interest in her song.

Bob Dylan and other stars are also set to be featured on the album which is expected to be one of the most anticipated projects in 2012. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will also feature late singer Gerry Rafferty’s hit “Right Down the Line.”
