Bon Jovi to play residency at O2 Arena next year
October 23rd, 2009 - 2:04 pm ICT by ANILondon, Oct 23 (ANI): American rock band Bon Jovi are set to play a residency at the O2 Arena in London next year.
Although the band have not revealed the length of their run, it is expected to rival the 21-date string of shows which Prince played in 2007.
“Bon Jovi are the best live band in the world. This one could run and run,” BBC News quoted AEG Live promoter Rob Hallett as saying.
The concerts, to begin in June next year, will mark Bon Jovi’s return to the London venue, after they opened it in 2007.
“When Jon Bon Jovi opened the O2 with the words, ‘Hello London, welcome to your new home’, little did he realise that we were already plotting to make it his new home,” said Hallett.
The gigs will be part of the group’s Circle Tour, named after their forthcoming album. (ANI)
