bon-jovi-om05Sep 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Music fans all over the world have found another hot topic for debate in the nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Though the list of the inductees will be released in December this year, the announcement of the nominees was enough to spark a debate on the web about the genre of the nominees’ music. With Bon Jovi, LL Cool J, Beastie Boys and Alice Cooper in the same list, many feel that all of them can be called Rock and Roll.

The official website of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame explains that the purpose of inducting musicians in the Hall of Fame is to recognize the contribution of those who have had an impact on the evolution and development of Rock and Roll music. A total of 15 nominees have been announced so far and the website states that further details will be published in the weeks to come. Among some of the other names that are on the list of nominees, there is Neil Diamond, Donna Summer, Laura Nyro, Tom Waits, Joe Tex and Chuck Willis.

Some of the bloggers have said that some of the musicians might not have much contribution in the field of Rock and Roll and need not have been on the list. One nominee who got the music fans talking is Bon Jovi, the rock band from Jew Jersey continues to have one of the biggest fan bases in rock music. With classics such as ‘Always’ and modern anthems such as ‘Its My Life’ to their credit, they are definitely one of the big contenders.
